Cross Country places at Ozark Conference Meet
The Rolla High School Cross Country team ran at the Ozark Conference Meet in Springfield on Saturday. The boys team got 6th place while the girls team placed third. Rolla High School senior Will Crutcher placed 11th and got all-conference.
“I ran actually really well. It was a tough course and we’ve run on a lot of flat courses this year but conference was a hillier course. It was a pretty tough race and there was a lot of competition but I placed 11th place and ran a really good time. I was happy with it. There were a lot of state competitors at the meet so placing 11th with a bunch of state competitors was really good,” Crutcher said.
Junior Devin Seest also ran well on Saturday.
“I ran a really good race. It was tough competition and I got 40th. I’ve improved a lot this year and been working hard. Getting 40th place with a bunch of state competitors is great. I’ve been the seventh man on the team all year but I jumped up to fifth man this last race. It’s exciting,” Seest said.
