On Jan. 30, the Main Gym’s bleachers were filled to the brim for the RHS boys basketball team’s last game on the old wooden floors. Parkview’s competition proved to be tough. The night ended with loses: Freshman 20-52, Junior Varsity 47-59 and Varsity 37-52.
A temporary commemorative display has been set up in the upper commons as a partnership between ECHO and the RHS Athletics Office to honor the Main Gym’s history.
The final basketball game to be hosted in the Main Gym will be the girls’ matchup against Lebanon on Thursday, Feb. 1.
