The Lady Bulldogs’ season is getting underway and there are already high hopes for success. Senior Jenny Dupes and junior Jeni Steele are looking forward to many accomplishments as a team.
“I really hope to get to the district championship, and I hope as a team we play our hearts out for every single play of every single game,” Steele said.
Optimism and a strong bond seem to be the glue holding the team together.
“Before each home game we eat a pre-game meal at someone’s house and we also have movie nights to bring us closer together,” Dupes said.
The Lady Bulldogs have a long history of impressive teamwork and this season looks to be no different.
“It may be just because I’m an upper classman this year, but it seems like we’ve all bonded a lot more and we’ve played a whole lot more of team ball,” Steele said.
Dupes knows that playing as a team and knowing one another as people as well as teammates is important to making the season count.
“We aren’t selfish and we have played together for many years. This will help us succeed,” Dupes said.
This basketball season looks bright for the Lady Bulldogs and winning and playing great ball is on every player’s mind.
“Honestly, I am really excited about this season,” Steele said.
