After a very successful season, the Rolla High School boys golf team is ready for state. The team qualified for the class four state tournament, which is taking place in Cape Girardeau on May 13-14, after a great showing at districts. They earned second place as a team, qualifying all five golfers for the next round. At the tournament Jonathan Jordan became a 2024 district champion with a score of 71 and Chayton Jordan was the runner up after scoring a 72. Easton Brown also received all-district honors after he shot 80.
Last year at state, the team earned second place and Jonathan Jordan won the title of class four state champion. The golfers have continued this success in the 2024 season. They received second as a team at the conference tournament, and before that they won three competitions in a row. They hope to build upon these achievements in the upcoming state championship.
