On Mar. 7, Rolla High School jazz, symphonic, and concert band performed the Spring Showcase concert in the field house. With the theme “Around the World,” bands performed songs representing several different cultures. To end the concert, the symphonic and concert band created a mass band to play “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa, and the community was invited to tour the new band and choir facilities.
For recent concerts, the band has had to utilize the floor of the old gym for performances, creating awkward transitions between sets and problems with acoustics. Although everyone is eager for the new performing arts center, the fieldhouse served as an inviting space for guests and musicians alike.
Jacob Cerney explains the new gym upgrades from the old, “I like the new gym a lot…It’s bigger and the acoustics are better as well.”

Hi! I'm Tyler and I'm a senior in my first and last year in ECHO. I also participate in the Rolla High Schools band as a Drum Major. If I’m not doing something band or school related I am probably listening to Taylor Swift with Michelle.
