On October 1st, Leadership will host a blood drive at the Rolla High School. Kate Brand, a student from Leadership, can describe the importance of giving blood at the drive and the non profit organization that runs it. 

“The cool thing about Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is that all the blood helps the people in the area. It’s not just people in California or New York, it’s also the people here in Missouri who need our help,” says Brand.

What Brand means is that by giving blood, you are helping the citizens in Missouri by providing more resources to our local hospitals. Sometimes, it might even help some of your family or friends who need blood.

For those who wish to partake in the blood drive, sign ups are in the cafeteria during lunch from now until September 27th. On the day of the blood drive, drink plenty of fluids and make sure to eat in the 24 hours leading up to it.
