First annual RHS winter pageant to be held this year
This year, RHS Leadership is hosting Rolla High School’s first ever winter pageant. It will be held on December 14th, at the Rolla Middle School auditorium, and it costs $3. Junior Tyler Fry, who is in charge of the pageant, shares with us what the pageant will entail, and what we can expect from it.
“We’re going to have four main events. We’ll have an opening number, where the girls come out and they dance to Mariah Carey’s, ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. We’re also having a fish bowl, where the girls will draw questions from a fish bowl and answer those on stage. We’ll have an ugly Christmas sweater contest, formal wear, and then a Christmas cookie eating contest to see who can eat the most cookies,” Fry said.
The pageant is for any and all high school girls, and if you would like to sign up you can in the main office or Ms. Cantrell’s room until November 30th.
“The pageant allows girls who maybe aren’t in sports, or things like that to get out and have an event where they can participate in something bigger than themselves,” Fry said.
