NAHS Hosts Fall Cafe

National Art Honor Society is opening a cafe full of autumnal flavors for the first time of what will hopefully become an annual food and drink delight.

“I hope everyone comes out and enjoys the wonderful food and drink[s],” said NAHS sponsor Connie Shoemaker.

Drop into the upper commons between 7:30 and 8:00 AM Nov. 16, 17, 18, 21, and the 22 for some scrumptious tea, coffee, hot cider, hot cocoa and baked goods.

“Everything is three dollars unless you buy two of something, and then it’s five. So if you get two, you get a discount,” said Shoemaker.

The event’s planners decided to let the proceeds go to future events and opportunities for NAHS.

“We need to raise some money for art scholarships, as well as we have some students who want to participate in the Show Me Art Summit in Jefferson City in the spring, and it’s about $50 per student to participate. So hopefully we’ll raise enough money that we can send at least a few students to that as well,” said Shoemaker.

The food at the cafe will go straight to feeding your cravings.

“I think it’s going to be just delicious and yummy and I hope everyone enjoys it,” said Shoemaker.
